Falling

For this project, I explored the idea of a “fallen economy” through a fabric-based sculptural chair. I shifted toward using a chair as a metaphor for support systems we rely on, which are meant to hold us up but are now failing.

Constructed from soft fabric, the chair lacks rigidity and instead slumps into the corner, emphasizing fragility and imbalance. Receipts attached to the structure introduce traces of consumption, while hand-hanging pieces suggest systems of stability built on something temporary.
